About Us
For Goat Sake was founded in 2020 by myself (Lexie), Devin and our Little Human in Central Utah. I had always had a special connection to animals and through my own healing journey, realized helping animals and others heal is my purpose.
In 2015, Devin gave me 3 baby goats for my Birthday. Nibler, Marlow and Rupert, affectionately known as the Big Boys. They are why we fell in love with goats. Gerald was the first goat we rescued and the rest is history!
Shortly after we moved to Tennessee, we took in a goat named Chester. He was the sweetest little soul we'd ever met. He loved to cuddle, eat bananas and blueberries and lounging in the sunshine. In April of 2023 Devin went out to feed everyone breakfast and found that Chester had somehow broken his leg. (I also happened to be in labor with our tiny human that morning.) Thanks to some wonderful friends, Chester made it to the vet and was able to come home with a cast on his leg later that day. After months of wearing the cast, it became apparent that his leg wasn't healing properly and the best thing to do would be to amputate his leg. But, Chester's pain got to be too much, his time had come and we made the extremely difficult decision to say goodbye in October of 2023.
After we lost Chester, I questioned whether FGS was really what I was meant to do. It was a big turning point for us and it's what has lead us on this healing journey. Because Chester reminded me why I wanted FGS to exist in the first place. To help others heal. Animals and people. Together.
Together we are creating a Healing Sanctuary.

Lexie
I've always felt a deep and sacred connection to animals. Their souls speak to mine in a way I can't quite explain with words. After my sweet Chester passed away, I was prompted to go back to why I wanted FGS to exist in the first place. I realized I wanted to help nurture the human animal connection through healing.
I love the outdoors, tacos, peaches and chocolate. I am a mama to many and its my favorite thing in the world. I love to laugh. I have a big heart. I am a Reiki Master, and am passionate about helping others heal.
Devin
Devin didn't grow up with animals, but he has experienced how wonderful they are throughout our years together. I've had the honor of watching him bond and heal right along with them. He is the supportive backbone of For Goat Sake and is often tasked with the not so fun maintenance of running a sanctuary.
Devin loves the outdoors too. He is always in the mood for pizza. He's a great dad and a hard worker. He is kind, considerate and very smart.
The Little Humans
They may be little, but they are a vital part of what we do. Running a sanctuary and raising kids is not easy, but it is very rewarding.
Each of the little humans has a special bond with the animals and loves them like a sibling. We believe in teaching the future generations love, respect and compassion for all and we are honored to be able to do it in this special way.
